Empowering Women Golfers

LAFI - The Ladies Annual Fall Invitational is a nonprofit  501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to promote women’s golf in the Pike’s Peak region by

  • Holding an annual tournament, bringing together women golfers from across the region for a fun, affordable day of golf, and 

 • Donating proceeds to support organizations that encourage women’s participation in the sport.

LAFI started with 36 ladies getting together for a fun social golf outing in September 2018 at Eisenhower Golf Club, Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.

The event was so successful we decided to make it an annual event to invite more of our friends and any women golfers that wanted to join us. A committee was formed, and the name LAFI and our event format were created. LAFI 2019 was held at Cheyenne Shadows with 104 participants. COVID prevented us from having a 2020 event, but in 2021 we were back at Cheyenne Shadows with 128 players. 

LAFI 2022 was a one-day team event at Perry Park with 100 ladies playing a fun day of golf with a bit of friendly competition thrown in. We recruited some great sponsors and were able to provide 18 sets of junior golf clubs and a cash donation of $4000 to support the Girls’ programs at First Tee Southern Colorado. 

LAFI 2023 was held at Perry Park on September 19, 2023 and we again had a sold out field. We had some amazing door prizes, improved the trophies for our winners, and we raised $10,000 for First Tee. 

LAFI 2024 was another great day at Perry Park with a full field of 100 golfers and another $10,000 donation to First Tee!

We plan to have an annual golf event as long as other lady golfers want to participate. Come and join us!
